Illuvium Beyond’s Wave 4 Launching Soon

The collectible NFT card game, Illuvium Beyond, is set to unveil its fourth wave on May 20th, introducing exciting new features and opportunities for players to earn rewards through collection.

Highlights of Wave 4 in Illuvium Beyond

Wave 4 promises a wealth of new Illuvitars, updated collections, and additional gameplay features, all designed to enhance the player experience while providing avenues for reward accumulation. Participants can collect customizable Illuvitars, equip them with various accessories, and complete their Illuvitar Album. Engaging in this new wave allows players to unlock unique soulbound in-game rewards and earn $ILV tokens by competing on the leaderboard within this NFT-centric game set in the Illuvium universe. Notably, this wave introduces a staggering total of 227 new collectible items, which include: 25 Tier 0 Illuvitars (available in every wave), 75 Accessories (also available in every wave), and 25 Illuvitars exclusive to Wave 4, featuring three different expressions and backgrounds.

Collecting with D1SKs

Players can acquire new Illuvitars and Accessories through tradeable containers known as D1SKs. Opening these loot boxes yields five different items. There are two primary types of D1SKs available: the Standard D1SK, priced at 499 FUEL, and the Mega D1SK, which costs 2999 FUEL. Purchasing these D1SKs not only contributes to community stretch goals but also helps players achieve their own personal goals upon opening them. Additionally, two more limited types of D1SKs will be made available in an upcoming Alpha Sale.

Contents of D1SKs

A Standard Illuvitar D1SK typically contains one random Illuvitar, three random Accessories, and one bonus Tier 0 Illuvitar. Conversely, a Mega D1SK guarantees one random Illuvitar, three random Accessories, and one guaranteed Rare Illuvitar. The specific contents of each D1SK are determined by a weighted randomness system that considers several attributes. While Wave 4 follows the general structure of Set 1, it features exclusive content with its own unique distribution. However, Tier 0 Illuvitars, Accessories, and Backgrounds maintain consistent weights across all waves.

Understanding Illuvitar Power Scores

Every Illuvitar is assigned a Power Score, a crucial metric that influences the number of points it contributes to a player’s Album. This score is determined by the base stats of the Illuvitar, the rarity of its background, and the impact of any accessories. Players can expect to need to open approximately 12 Standard D1SKs to find an Illuvitar with a Power Score exceeding 1450, placing it in the top 8.5% of all Illuvitars. Buyers of the Mega D1SK also have the chance to receive a common Illuvitar with a rare background or a rare Illuvitar with a standard background.

Wave 4’s Expanded Features

“Wave 4 builds on everything introduced so far in Set 1, offering more depth, more variety, and new exclusive Illuvitars. Whether you’re a completionist, a collector, or a casual player aiming for rewards, there’s something to chase this Wave,” the developers stated. For more detailed information, players can refer to the official buyer’s guide.

Details on the Wave 4 Alpha Sale

In addition to the Standard and Mega D1SKs, Illuvium enthusiasts can anticipate the release of two special types of D1SKs during the Wave 4 Alpha Sale, which will be available in limited quantities: Standard Alpha D1SKs, priced at 999 FUEL, and Mega Alpha D1SKs, available for 8999 FUEL. These unique Alpha D1SKs do not confer any gameplay advantages within the Beyond Album but provide bonus points that contribute to both personal and community stretch goals, while featuring a distinct visual effect. Each Alpha D1SK will be marked with an exclusive Alpha symbol, denoting its rarity and the owner’s contribution to this new wave. There will be only 2500 Standard Alpha D1SKs available, each granting three points. The Mega Alpha D1SKs will be even more limited, with only 1000 units available, each awarding 27 points. The Alpha Sale will commence simultaneously with the Extended Sale but will be limited to just 24 hours.
