Illuvium players are encouraged to register for the newly introduced official Test Tournament, which is set to commence on July 5, marking the beginning of Competitive Season 1.

What Is the Illuvium Test Tournament?

The Test Tournament is a sanctioned event featuring 32 players, aimed at testing the Competitive Season 1 format. This initiative is designed to mimic the framework of forthcoming competitions, allowing players to share their feedback, which will be invaluable for developers in enhancing the competitive format prior to launching future events that will contribute points toward the Illuvium World Championship. Scheduled for Saturday, July 5 at 3 PM UTC, this tournament boasts a prize pool of 100 $ILV, equivalent to approximately $1,040, distributed among the top 16 players as follows: 1st place receives 27 $ILV (about $280), 2nd gets 17 $ILV (around $176), 3rd earns 13 $ILV (approximately $134), 4th receives 11 $ILV (about $114), 5th gets 7 $ILV (around $72), 6th earns 6 $ILV (about $62), 7th receives 5 $ILV (approximately $51), and 8th gets 4 $ILV (around $41). Players finishing in positions 9 through 12 will each receive 2 $ILV (~$20 each), while those in 13th to 16th will be awarded 1 $ILV (~$10 each). The tournament will follow a battle royale bracket format without teams, where all 32 participants will compete in a Best of 2 to qualify for the Semi Finals. From there, the top 16 will also engage in a Best of 2, with half advancing to the Grand Finals, where the final 8 will compete in a Best of 3. The tournament is expected to last about 7 hours, with the final match streamed live on the game’s official Twitch channel.

How to Participate and Earn in Illuvium’s Test Tournament

To take part in the Illuvium Test Tournament and stand a chance to earn rewards, players must register through the official event page hosted on the Community Gaming esports platform. The number of slots is limited to just 32 participants. However, if the maximum capacity is reached, interested players can sign up for a waiting list, which could allow them to compete if someone drops out or fails to check in on time. All skill levels are welcome, and those who secure a spot can look forward to the event on July 5 at 3 PM UTC. Participants from any region can join, and those who progress through the rounds can expect the tournament to take roughly 7 hours. Check-in will open one hour prior to the competition, and participants must complete this process to be eligible to compete. After checking in, players are advised to join the voice chat on Illuvium’s official Discord server to ensure they are ready for the test event.

Players who advance past the initial stage, where 32 players compete in a Best of 2 format, will already be in contention for a share of the 100 $ILV prize pool. “This Test Tournament promotes community involvement—non-professional players are welcomed and encouraged to join. With 50% of participants set to earn rewards and guaranteed multiple matches, this is an excellent opportunity to showcase your strategies and compete for recognition,” the organizers stated.

Competitive Season 1 & Illuvium World Championship

Comprehensive details regarding the structure of Competitive Season 1 will be unveiled shortly after the conclusion of the Test Tournament. The World Championship Event is slated for later this year. By participating in this weekend’s test event, players will assist the Illuvium team in refining their tournament structure in preparation for future competitions that will award tournament points. These points, together with those from ranked leaderboards, will play a crucial role in determining qualification for the World Championship. Therefore, engaging in this test event could also serve as a valuable preparation for larger tournaments ahead.

The World Championship Event will encompass the majority of this year’s competitive prize pool. To qualify, players must earn points by competing in various upcoming Minor and Major Tournaments, each offering different prize pools that will vary based on factors such as token price fluctuations and participant numbers.

Illuvium: Arena offers a complex auto-battler experience where players can utilize their captured Illuvials in tactical PvE and PvP battles. This title is also available on the Epic Games Store, featuring hundreds of Illuvials for players to discover and train, allowing for strategic formations and tactics during ranked PvP battles and tournaments.

Illuvium: Zero is a city-building strategy game, enabling players to gather resources and engage in a dynamic blockchain-based economy. Players can start with a free plot and unlock play-to-earn features by purchasing an NFT plot to begin harvesting tradable Fuel for use in Overworld. This game is accessible on Windows and Mac via the Epic Games Store and can also be played on Android and iOS by downloading the web3 title from their respective app stores.

Illuvium: Beyond is a collectible NFT card game focused on building a personalized album of Illuvitar PFP collections.
